Judging A Book By Its Cover

3 Feb

Dear Readers

The common saying “You should not judge a book by its cover”, is in reality exactly that…a common saying! More often than less, we are judged by others even before a word is uttered. What you choose to wear is a direct reflection of your personality. It is important to remember that your ensemble speaks volumes on your character, and greatly influences the way in which you are perceived. Therefore, the way in which you present yourself is crucial. It may be superficial to think that looks make the person, but in truth and in fact, this is the first thing that we are judged upon.

Your general appearance is a huge deciding factor on how people respond to you. This may make or break you especially in the business world, where credibility is important.

Remember it’s the small things that count. Pay attention to the fine details. It will greatly enhance your appearance and show that you have taken time and pride in yourself. Your clothes should fit well and compliment the body. Clothes that are too tight or too baggy looks sloppy and shows a nonchalant attitude. Ensure that they are always clean and neatly pressed. Shoes should be polished and free from mud, nails clean and trimmed, and facial hair, including eyebrows should be well-groomed.

Accessories give any outfit the finishing touch.  A lot can be said about a man who wears a nice watch. Cufflinks and tie pins make a subtle yet bold statement. Jewelry should be kept to a minimum. Besides putting you at the risk of being robbed, too many rings, chains or earrings is overkill. Once again, less is more. Being sexy and fabulous means keeping it simple and letting one’s true radiance shine thru.

Always be mindful of your appearance and you will never be frightful of being judged by your cover instead it will reveal that your amazing looks are not deceiving!
