Make Heat Waves!

22 Jul

My Readers,

The Sizzling Summer should include lots of swimsuits for days at the beach or just hanging out poolside.

Here are the styles you should be looking out for with the aim of looking hot while cooling off:

Vintage: This look is inspired by ultra-glamorous debutantes of the 50’s such as Grace Kelly and Marilyn Monroe. Vintage styles exude sexiness without revealing too much. It is perfect for women who do not wish to show a lot of skin but still like to look and feel sexfab.

Some features to look out for:

  • one-pieces with cinched-in waists
  • sweetheart necklines and halters
  • high-waisted bottoms

Cutaway: These strategically placed cutouts emphasize the feminine form and show off the body to its best advantage. Keyholes, bondage strips and see-through bands of fabric give a “peekaboo” effect. These cuts will definitely spice up your swimwear.

Bandeau: This is perfect for those looking to minimize tan lines. It’s a great alternative to ordinary triangle bikinis. This isn’t the best option if you have a big bust.

Crochet: This style has been influenced by the return of the 70’s fashion. Crochet swimsuits and open woven pieced are the must-have fashionable swimwear style. The perfectly fit crochet swimwear is a simple solution for drawing the eyes away from body flaws.

One-Shoulder: This trend has made a comeback. This swimwear creates a feeling of sexuality and seductiveness. It may not be ideal for swimming in but it is great for lounging beside the pool or seaside. Try thick single shouldered straps.

Ruffled: Ruffled swimsuits are one of the most popular swimwear trends for the Summer. Whether it be tiny and with only a single layer or demure and multiple, this trend will look flattering on practically everyone. Ruffled swimwear has no style rules. Instead wear whatever makes you feel sexyfab. Opt for a multi-tiered ruffle top to enhance a small bust line.

Floral Prints: This adds brightness and femininity to your appearance. Try a smaller pattern for a more mature look.

Animal Print: This trend is everywhere! Show your wild side with an adventurous leopard, tiger or zebra pattern. This look has been modified so don’t necessarily have to choose the standard prints. You can experiment with purple, gold or pink undertones.

Mix and Match (not necessarily): The newest trend is mixing prints. You could pair a geometric pattern, animal print or bright color top
with a solid color bottom and vice versa. If you have small bust and wider hips, do a solid colored bottom and a bright printed top to minimize the
hips and emphasize the bust, and vice versa for those of you with a busty top and small hips. Experiment with different combinations to add versatility to your swimsuit collection.

Sequins: The list of swimwear trends Summer 2011 would be complete without sequins which are used in bikinis now more than ever before. You can wear the trend to its full strength having the top richly embellished with sequins or you can choose to keep it to a minimum. It’s all up to you!

Don’t forget to incorporate these accessories to your look:

  • SUNBLOCK
  • Floppy Straw hat or cap
  • Feminine (dress) or sporty (board shorts)cover-up
  • Flip Flops
  • Sunglasses
  • Magazine or Ipod

Follow those tips and you’re sure to make heat waves this Summer!
